Abstract

This research presents an analytical study of the selected text of Tafsir Adwa' al-Bayan on Surah al-Nisa (Verses 24–34), with a particular focus on its Urdu translation, scholarly investigation, and source authentication (Takhrij). The study aims to make the selected Arabic text accessible to Urdu readers while preserving its linguistic and exegetical depth. It examines the methodology adopted by Shaykh Muhammad al-Amin al-Shinqiti in interpreting the Qur'an through the Qur'an and supporting his arguments with authentic textual evidence. The research also evaluates the translation in terms of accuracy, clarity, and faithfulness to the original text. Furthermore, it provides Takhrij of the Qur'anic verses, Prophetic traditions, and narrations cited in the selected passage, identifying their primary sources and authenticity. An analytical approach has been employed to examine the legal, social, and moral themes discussed in these verses, particularly those related to marriage, family life, and mutual rights and responsibilities. The study highlights the distinctive features of Tafsir Adwa' al-Bayan and its scholarly contribution to contemporary Qur'anic studies. It concludes that the selected text reflects a balanced combination of linguistic precision, authentic evidence, and sound juristic reasoning, making it a valuable source for researchers and students of Tafsir.
