This paper presents an analytical study of characterization and feminine psychology in the short stories of Dr. Rashida Qazi. In her collections, woman appears as the central figure— not only subjected to social and cultural oppression, but also navigating a complex inner world marked by psychological and emotional turbulence. Dr. Rashida Qazi meticulously portrays themes such as female existence, identity, deprivation, fear, loneliness, and rebellion. From the standpoint of narrative craft, her characters appear vivid, dynamic, and psychologically evolving, shaped not only by external circumstances but also by their internal vulnerabilities and desires. In depicting feminine psychology, Dr. Rashida Qazi presents female emotions, emotional conflicts, selfhood, and the idea of freedom on both symbolic and realistic planes. Her stories offer a profound portrayal of the psychological crisis faced by women in Pakistani society, where a woman is not merely a victim but emerges as a conscious agent of resistance, reflection, and self-assertion. Her creative practice not only contributes to the tradition of feminist literature but also opens a significant new chapter of psychological realism in Urdu fiction.
