In Jewish and Islamic law, the rules of physical impurity have not only a jurisprudential and religious aspect but also form the basis of a practical system of religious purification. The Talmud is the primary legal and jurisprudential source in Jewish law. An important part of it is the "Seder Tohorot", which is exclusively concerned with issues of purity and impurity. The chapters on purity in the Sihah Sitta are listed at the beginning as the basis of worship. These chapters describe the rules of water, ablution, ghusl, tayammum, menstruation and post-partum bleeding, and istinja. A comparison of this research makes it clear that concepts of purity are fundamental to religious identity, the order of worship, and social purity. The concept of impurity in both religions is not limited to acts of worship but extends to domestic, social, dietary and legal injunctions. This research not only reveals common values but also makes us understand the wisdom of differences, which becomes a strong source of interfaith harmony, scholarly dialogue and a better understanding of religious principles. The purpose of this study is to examine the wisdom, moral and spiritual purposes of the commandments of purity in the Judaism and Islam, as well as to analyze the common and divergent aspects between them. The research method is narrative, comparative and analytical.
